Helpful Hints

• When using florist foam with cut flowers, be sure to thoroughly soak the foam in water first. This will ensure the flowers are properly hydrated.
• When creating a display with a firm vegetable or fruit, place it on a cutting board first. Then carefully push the rod through the center to the cutting board surface.
• If you are arranging flowers for the first time, leave enough of the stem to work with. If you trim too much stem, it may be hard to keep the flower in place.
• If you are having difficulty unscrewing the rods, try wearing rubber gloves. The gloves will give you a better grip on the metal.
• Toothpicks come in handy when you’re trying to create a grouping of fruits.
• Avoid using acidic fruits, such as lemons, grapefruits or oranges, as these may damage the finish of your candleholder.
• When decorating with fresh flowers, fruits or vegetables, please note that these displays have a limited lifespan. To maintain the fresh look of your display, refrigerate it prior to display.

Safety Tips

• Do not use dried flowers, grasses or any materials that may catch fire.
• This candleholder has been designed to be stable, whether you use the 3” rod, 4” rod, or the two together. However, DO NOT add any additional lengths of rod, as the candleholder could tip over.
• When placing any items on the rod, be sure that the weight is centered. Do not put unbalanced items on the rod as this may result in the holder tipping over.
• Exercise caution when eating any fruit or vegetable that was pierced by the rod. Putting holes in fruits and vegetables and keeping them at room temperature may cause the item to spoil. DO NOT eat anything that appears to be damaged or shows signs of spoiling or mold.
• Keep out of reach of children.
